No additives, such as sodium, were used in the preparation of the flowers to brighten or enhance their coloration. Chrysanthemum flowers are wonderful served as a hot beverage with food, and will aid in digestion. It is also served as a refreshing & cooling beverage in hot weather. The flowers are often blended with a ripe or cooked Pu-erh leaf to make a traditional summer tea drink.
